When anxiety starts making the decisions
Anxiety can be loud even when nothing around you looks urgent. It may show up as a mind that never stops scanning for what could go wrong, a tight feeling before ordinary plans, or the sense that you should be doing more while you are already exhausted. It can follow you into work, relationships, sleep, and the quiet moments that are supposed to be yours.
Sometimes anxiety has a clear trigger. Often, it does not. You may know that your worries are bigger than the moment calls for, but that does not make them easy to switch off. The goal is not to force yourself to be perfectly calm or pretend that difficult feelings are not there. It is to create more choice in how you meet them.
