When the relationship has ended, but the feelings keep arriving
Heartbreak does not always look the way people expect it to. You may be getting through your day, meeting responsibilities, and telling yourself that you should be fine, then a song, a quiet evening, or an ordinary errand brings everything back at once. You may replay conversations, question your choices, or feel caught between missing someone and knowing the relationship was not right for you.
A breakup can also shake the routines and sense of self that made life feel familiar. Sleep may feel different. Concentration may come and go. You may have less patience for work, friends, or the things that usually restore you. None of this means you are doing grief incorrectly. It means an important part of your life has changed, and your mind and body are still finding their footing.
